The Chennai Super Kings, an Indian Premier League (IPL) team, has announced the establishment of its third international Super Kings Academy in Sydney, demonstrating their continuous strong relationship with Australia.
The United States (Dallas) and the United Kingdom (Reading) are home to its other worldwide centers.
Sydney Olympic Park’s Cricket Central, 161 Silverwater Road, will be home to the Super Kings Academy.
All year round, indoor and outdoor training facilities will be available at the cutting edge facility. In September, boys’ and girls’ cricket coaching will start.
“We are delighted to continue our unique adventure with Australia, which started in 2008 with the launch of the IPL. Australia is a nation of champions with a vibrant sports culture and a long history of cricket. The Super Kings Academy will strengthen the nation’s already robust system by using and assisting in the development of cricket players, both male and female. In cricket, geographical barriers have been progressively eroding in recent years. KS Viswanathan, CEO of CSK, stated, “With our presence in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and now Australia, we have the opportunity to develop the next generation of cricketers through our world-class facilities, strong coaching curriculum, exchange programmes, and more.”
