The Durand Cup game between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, which was supposed to take place on Sunday at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata, has been postponed due to the ongoing violence in the city. The event organizers and representatives of the Kolkata Police met and a decision was made. “Both the teams will be awarded a point each, while the fans will get full refund for the tickets they bought,” a source told PTI.
There are also rumors that Jamshedpur might host all of the Durand Cup games that were originally scheduled to take place in Kolkata. We await an official statement.
