At the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday, RCB vs CSK will square off in a highly anticipated matchup as both teams compete for a position in the IPL 2024 playoffs.
RCB has performed a stunning comeback in the competition. After losing seven of their first eight league games, they were mired at the bottom of the standings, but they fought back to win five straight, magnificently salvaging their campaign.
In the meantime, the reigning champions CSK have struggled to win an IPL championship for the sixth time, losing three of their previous five games.
Before this pivotal match, which is already anticipated to be a knockout match, a fan has stirred up controversy by releasing a video on social media in which they declare that they want to violate security measures at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Cricket fans are so concerned about the footage that they have reported the incident to the Bengaluru police.
RCB has 12 points from 13 games, enough for fifth place in the IPL standings right now.
However, Chennai Super Kings are third in the standings with 14 points after 13 games.
In order to avoid elimination from the playoffs, RCB, with their net run rate of 0.387, has to win in order to overtake CSK, with their NRR of 0.528.
