A footballer in Peru took advantage of a stop in play to relieve himself on the side of the pitch.
A football player in Peru was shown a red card for urinating on the pitch. Yes, you read that right. Beyond goals, skills and technique, the world of football often provides us with hilarious moments that have nothing to do with the game itself. And in Peru, another such thing has happened. Sebastian Munoz – who plays for Atletico Awajun in the Peruvian third division – was involved in one of the most bizarre red card moments ever, as he was given marching orders for urinating pitchside. Atletico Awajun faced Cantorcillo FC in the Copa Peru on Sunday. With the game tied at 0-0, Awajun received a corner in the 71st minute. However, the game had been stopped, as Cantorcillo goalkeeper Lucho Ruiz was down injured.

A few moments thereafter, Munoz received a red card from the referee who approached him.
Munoz was shocked by the referee’s ruling but was forced to leave the playing area.
Additionally, players have urinated on the pitch previously. Once, before the referee could see him, former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann had leaped over advertising hoardings to relieve himself in the middle of the match and returned in time to prevent an opposing counterattack.
More widely known, the 1990 World Cup featured a defecation by a great English striker. With his stomach hurting, Lineker was forced to concede in a group match against Ireland.
Regretfully, neither Lehmann nor Lineker received a red card for Sebastian Munoz. Nevertheless, he becomes part of an elusive group of individuals who have urinate or feces on the field.
