In less than two minutes, Nishant Dev outpunched his Mongolian opponent to move to the pre-quarterfinals for the 71 kg weight class, while Abhinash Jamwal was eliminated from the second Boxing World Olympic Qualifiers in Bangkok on Tuesday.

Prior to that, Jamwal battled bravely despite losing the 63.5kg encounter to Colombia’s Jose Manuel Viafara Fory in a tight opening round. He obviously won the third and last round.
However, as per the rules, the judges reassessed the performance and ultimately voted in Fory’s favor, sealing the final score 5:0 for the Colombian.
In other action, third Indian boxer Sachin Siwach will face Frederik Jensen of Denmark in the 57kg round of 32 bout later in the day.
But in accordance with the regulations, the judges reevaluated the performance and decided to award Fory the victory, giving the Colombian a final score of 5 to 0.
Later in the day, Danish boxer Frederik Jensen and third-ranked Indian boxer Sachin Siwach will compete in a 57kg round of 32 match.
