On Wednesday, April 24, the cricket god, also known as the batting great from India, will celebrate his 51st birthday.
After making history against Pakistan in 1989 as the 16-year-old Indian cricket player to participate in an international match, Sachin Tendulkar went on to break other batting records and become the first player to reach 100 international hundreds.
In fact, Sir Don Bradman once said that Sachin was the closest player to choosing someone who batted like the Australian icon, such was the intensity of his aura.
Under MS Dhoni’s leadership, Sachin realized his ambition of winning the World Cup in 2011. He concluded his career with 18,426 runs in ODIs and 15,921 runs in Tests.

Of his 100 international hundreds, 49 came in One-Day Internationals and 51 in Tests. As the first batter to hit 50 hundreds in ODIs, Virat Kohli shattered his own record. He then gave Sachin, who was watching the game from the stands, a memorable bow.

In 664 international matches, he delighted cricket fans across the globe with a staggering 34,357 runs scored on the international scene.
