Hardik Pandya is one player who has been the target of criticism from fans ever since the IPL 2024 started. The majority of supporters were not fond of his taking over as Mumbai Indians captain in place of Rohit Sharma. The spectators in attendance mostly jeered Hardik Pandya whenever he showed up for a toss or performed anything on the field. It also occurred at Wankhede Stadium, the home field of MI. Hardik Pandya hasn’t spoken anything in public, but he’s facing pressure.
Further aggravating his problems has been MI’s patchy start in the 2024 IPL.
On The Ranveer Show, former Indian cricket player and 2007 T20 World Cup winner Robin Uthappa talked extensively about Hardik Pandya’s experience.
He is a man with the talent and ability to be an Indian team all-time great. The squad that first found him let him leave, and he joined another team. He departed with them having won three or four titles. There will be that; he must have felt a bit guilty. He attended GT, took home a championship, and placed second in another. Then the discussion started,” Uthappa stated.
“The jeers, the trolls, the fitness-related memes. Do you not believe it causes him pain? It causes him pain. It is painful for all people. How many individuals are aware of the truth about it? Without a doubt, Hardik is battling mental health concerns. I know that as Indians, we are sensitive individuals. However, treating any human being in this manner is wrong. As a culture, we should not be able to treat someone that way and yet be acceptable. It is not appropriate for us to laugh at it. These memes shouldn’t be circulated by us.”
The all-rounder is correct to secure his career, Uthappa continued.
“Yes, it’s also our passion, but for me, it’s what puts food on the table. It’s our job.” I’ve put my work out there for you to judge. It is not a business person’s responsibility to criticize or voice opinions on television. In that situation, you have to give the other person some empathy and dignity in order to let them fail. Our nation’s display of love and our response to our Indian team after we lost the World Cup are two of our most wonderful achievements. That’s the way Indians and our society ought to be,” Uthappa declared.
