IPL 2024: CSK beat MI on Sunday
Chennai Super Kings emerged victorious from the IPL ‘El Clasico’ on Sunday, with Mumbai Indians coming in second. The much anticipated fight had everything. The younger players gave amazing performances; Rohit Sharma scored a ton of runs, while MS Dhoni ended CSK’s innings with 20 runs off only 4 balls, but in the end, CSK prevailed. The jeers directed against Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya by the fans also kept happening.
Legends of cricket like Kevin Pietersen and Sunil Gavaskar criticized his captaincy. Even though MI lost the game, they still have a good chance of making the playoffs. They will not, however, get the chance to exact revenge for their defeat to CSK in the IPL 2024 league stage. This is because the teams are assigned to various groupings.

The Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will only play each other once in the IPL 2024 league stage due to the current draw. Therefore, the Mumbai Indians will never be able to make up for their league stage defeat on Sunday.
But if both teams make it to the postseason and play each other again, MI will have a chance to get revenge for the defeat.
