Mumbai Indians moved up to ninth position in the standings by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets. In terms of net run rate, the team knocked Gujarat Titans to the bottom of the standings.
Because it is tied for the most points with both the Chennai Super Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants, Sunrisers Hyderabad is in trouble. Winning this game would have given Pat Cummins and company some breathing room as the fight for the top four heats up, but now that three home games are approaching and wins are necessary to hold the opposition at bay, SRH will need to be on guard.
