Rohit Sharma, one of the best opening batsmen in the game, turns 37 today, April 30. The Indian captain has made a name for himself over the last several decades as a solid batsman who can win games for his side on his own.
Rohit, who goes by the nickname “Hitman” among his followers, was born in Nagpur, an Indian city. Rohit Sharma, who was born in 1987 to Gurunath and Purnima Sharma, showed an early interest in cricket as a child. In February 2006, Rohit made his List A debut for the West Zone in the Deodhar Trophy.
The Indian opener, who had a significant tournament run, debuted in the first class in July 2006, a year later against New Zealand. India’s first-ever Rohit was born in 2007.
