Suryakumar Yadav received approval from the National Cricket Academy on Wednesday, which is a major plus for the Mumbai Indians (MI). He will now play the rest of the competition with his Indian Premier League (IPL) squad. The 33-year-old will either arrive at the team hotel on Thursday night or Friday morning, and on April 5 he will participate in the afternoon net session. The remaining team members are taking advantage of their break in Jamnagar and will return to Mumbai on Thursday evening.
“Suryakumar Yadav will be arriving at the team hotel tomorrow or the day following, having received the required permission from the NCA. Let’s see how the April 5 net session goes with him participating. He ought to be OK for Sunday’s Delhi Capitals game, a person with knowledge of the situation told CricketNext.

Since hurting his ankle during the T20I series in South Africa last December, Surya has not played cricket. His sabbatical from the game was made longer by surgery for a sports hernia.
