One of the most captivating players of the current period is MS Dhoni, and future generations will remember him for his accomplishments as an international player and as the face of CSK. Since he is currently 42 years old and likely participating in his final IPL season, the frenzy around the guy has reached previously unheard-of levels.
But CSK still has one game remaining in the league stage, and they must defeat RCB in that game to advance to the next round. Should they fail to win, both their season and most likely MS Dhoni’s IPL career would come to an end.
However, MS has occasionally stated in interviews that he would like to play his final IPL match in Chepauk, therefore it’s possible that he will miss this last league round.
The match that Chennai won by five wickets against the Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk may be his last if he chooses not to play and CSK is eliminated. In the event that they defeat RCB, though, they will go to the playoffs, which will take place at Chepauk, and supporters may get to witness MS Dhoni play once again.
All cricket fans would be hopeful that MS does get on the field on May 18th in the crucial game. However, it would be a very brave and emotional move if MS Dhoni did opt to miss a vital must-win game against RCB at Chinnaswamy.
